We met 15 years ago—just two people with many mutual friends, totally unaware that we'd end up being each other's longest "non-relationship relationship." We became friends fast—Broadway crawls, paint parties, inside jokes... you name it. We were the definition of “friends,” except, of course, no one could predict that we would stay friends even while living in different cities. Fast forward 15 years, and we’ve survived living in multiple different cities, questionable fashion choices, and way too many "are you sure you're just friends?" moments. But every time we’d joke about it, we'd laugh it off—because, duh, we were just friends. Then one night, it happened: we had our usual hangout, a random chat that turned a little too personal, a little too heart-eyes emoji. Suddenly, it wasn’t so funny anymore. In that moment, we both realized—maybe we were more than friends. And here we are now, 15 years later, ready to start our next chapter—still laughing, still best friends, and now, officially calling each other something else: partners for life.
