Neither of us would have expected to meet someone so special at the bar. While Drew ran open mic night, Sarah came in with friends. Drew picked up on that she wasn't very happy that evening and introduced himself but Sarah was not very interested originally. Her good friend Jillian convinced her to go talk to him more as he was packing up for the night. They hugged goodbye, and in that moment, felt something they hadn't felt before. So much so that Sarah actually asked for a second hug before he drove away. A few days later, drew asked to park his van at her apartment and Sarah invited him to stay, and they basically lived together from then on. After several years, they took a break to work on themselves. This was crucial for their relationship, and over the next 2 years, they grew into new and improved versions of themselves. Despite time and distance, their love never faded. If anything, it grew. Drew moved to Asheboro, and they both flourished in their careers and home life, spending evenings cooking together and relaxing with their 3 cats (Beans, Taters, and Petunia), snake (Snickerdoodle) and fish (Sparkles).
