Andrew & Sarah first met at UMass Lowell, although their stories are a bit different. According to Sarah, they met their freshman year when she asked him to join their mutual friends on a late night McDonald's run, (Andrew declined because he needed to sleep - lame.) According to Andrew, they met at the beginning of their sophomore year when they were formally introduced by the mutual friend he was sharing a dorm room with. They say the best relationships form from friendships, and Sarah & Andrew were no exception. From 2015-2018 they were close friends. Watching HGTV while doing homework and playing Tricky Towers for hours. As time went on, real feelings were formed. Sarah began bringing Andrew muffins each time she'd come back to school from work at Farmhouse Cafe, in hopes that the way to Andrew's heart was through his stomach, (it was). More time was spent together, watching The Office and Malcolm in the Middle, trying to study but getting distracted by the need to flirt. Eventually, they started dating in February of 2018 when Sarah just could NOT take it anymore and confessed her feelings to Andrew, to which he replied, "The feeling is mutual." How romantic? After 6 and a half years, Andrew proposed on a gorgeous late summer day in Salem, MA while on the wharf overlooking the ocean. The easiest "Yes" of Sarah's life. As most of you know, Sarah and Andrew were officially married on November 14, 2025 - a day unofficially dubbed as "Health Insurance Day". Since then, names have been changed and their first home has been purchased. Now, Mr. & Mrs. Guarente would love if you join them as they both say "The feeling is mutual" on September 12, 2026.
