Golden History Museum & Park is a vibrant public space for uncovering Golden's past. The museum, featuring historical Coors objects, a hands-on gallery for families, a gift shop, and more, is open and free Tuesday-Saturday 10 AM-4:30 PM. The History Park where you can feed the chickens and see historic cabins is open and free from sunup to sundown, daily.
The Colorado School of Mines Earth Sciences Museum offers extensive displays of minerals, fossils, meteorites, gems, and a walk-through mine featuring UV minerals. Watch a local geology video, see moon rocks from 2 Apollo missions, and walk along the outdoor geology trail with many fossils. This is the 2nd most visited earth science museum on an American college campus.
