FAQs

Question

Is the wedding indoor or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be outside. The reception will be in a shaded pavilion area with overhead fans.

Question

Is it okay to take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We want everyone to capture this special day from their own perspective and welcome all pictures. Still, the ceremony will be unplugged, and we ask that phones and all other photo-taking devices be stored away and on silent for the duration of the ceremony. We want everyone to be in the moment and soaking up our ceremony as much as we are. We are hiring an amazing photographer to capture the ceremony and want to give them the respect and space to do so to the best of their ability. After the ceremony, we welcome you to capture the day :)

Question

Will there be a shuttle to and from the hotel?

Answer

No, every guest will be responsible for their transportation to and from the venue. There will be ample parking available at the venue.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Dress Code: Summer Semi-Formal / Dressy Casual For women think summer semi formal. Including but not limited to long sun dresses and jumpsuits. For men think khakis or dress pants with a long sleeve button-up shirt. Suit jackets and ties are welcome but not required. Avoid the colors white, cream, ivory, and wearing jeans.

Question

Are there any styles or colors you would like me to wear?

Answer

We would love for you to dress for our wedding theme! Think Easter Sunday! Pastels and florals are appreciated.

Question

What is the weather or climate like in the area?

Answer

North Carolina summers are sunny, hot, and humid. We recommend light clothing materials like cotton, linen, and chiffon, and sunglasses for the outdoor ceremony.

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

We are not allowing additional plus-ones to our wedding, as we'd like to keep the guest list just to those who know us well. The name of every guest invited to attend is clearly listed on your invitation, and no additional guests can be accommodated.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

No, there will be no alcohol served or permitted at the venue on the day of the wedding, but there will be plenty of refreshments available otherwise. We invite ur guests to be present with us in the moment! The reason for this is that we are choosing to honor God on the day of our wedding by being of sober mind and judgement. 1 Corinthians 6:10 “nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.”

Question

What is the wedding itinerary?

Answer

Our wedding will take place at 2040 Dodgetowne Rd. Walnut Cove, NC, on Friday, June 26th, 2026. The ceremony will begin at 3:30 pm sharp, followed by cocktail hour and the reception, which is anticipated to wrap around 10:45 pm. No one will be able to enter the ceremony space after the start time, and there will be no exceptions.
