Gavin and AJ have been best friends since high school. They spent countless time together going to the beach, clubs, principal's office and each other's family events. Which is were Gavin met his wife Desiree; who is also AJ's cousin. Together Gavin and Des have four children; Sadee, Shylee-Rae, Shayzin and Shyzin. "Gavin has always been a great friend and he's always been one of the very few people who tried to bring out the best in me. He's been there for me no matter the time or day. He is my brother before is my cousin-in-law" -AJ

Anela is Sarah's sister. With her husband Brant, they have 2 boys, Caleb & Connor. Anela is the Principal at Kaimiloa Elementary School and has her MA in Education. "Anela is incredibly articulate, strong and delicate all in one. She's been known to school you at scrabble, pin you down and tickle you, and then hide under the covers during a scary movie. She has shaped me as a mother and I'm forever grateful for her guidance" -Sarah
Tyler Nitahara

Tyler and AJ met at HECO where they both work. Tyler trained AJ as an Equipment Operator at Kahe Power Plant. They both transitioned to the maintenance side of HECO and are apprentice Electricians. Tyler is the reason AJ made it this far in the apprenticeship since he let's AJ copy his tests. Tyler recently married his sugar mama Brianne. "Tyler is one of the most genuine people you'll ever met. Guy's got the biggest heart. He's helped me through a lot; not just in our careers but in life as well." -AJ
Natasha Chun

Natasha is Sarah's best friend. They have known each other since 7th grade and seen many milestones in each others lives. With her husband Nate, they have 4 kids, Tate, Trev, Tripp & Tayla. Tasha works in the Real Estate Management market. "Tash is a loving firecracker. She loves deeply and would do anything for her family. I have always admired how she can manage to maintain a clean home, get all the kids to their school and extra curriculars, and still be able to meet me whenever I call. She is more then my best friend, she is my sister" -Sarah

Reece and AJ go back to diaper days. Their families have been close for decades so by virtue so have they. It wasn't until adulthood that Reece and AJ's relationship grew to what it is now. Reece also works at HECO as an apprentice lineman. He is married to Calista and they share two beautiful daughters Sky, Kelia and a baby on the way. "Reece is like a younger brother to me. We argue and bicker like brothers do too. In the end we know that we have each other's back and that's what family is " -AJ
