we're getting married!

Some say that two people are connected by an unseen, metaphorical string, destined to meet and possibly reconnect throughout their lives, regardless of distance or time apart. Some love stories begin with a chance encounter, ours began decades ago with a woven string. Our dads have been friends since before either of them got married, and our families have been intertwined for decades. In fact, we recently realized that Sarah’s mom hosted the baby shower for Ahmad’s mom when she was pregnant with him...how’s that for full circle? We grew up in parallel, attending the same high school, college, and family gatherings. We had several mutual friends and were always familiar faces to each other. But despite how close our worlds were, we never really considered that the other might be interested. We were just... always there, in the background of each other’s lives. That changed years later, when timing, curiosity, and maybe a little help from our friends (shoutout to the girls) nudged us closer. Once we started seeing each other seriously, something just clicked. About six months in, it became clear to both of us that this wasn’t just another chapter, it was the beginning of our forever. One of our favorite memories together is the Drake and J. Cole concert, an unforgettable night filled with good vibes and the feeling that we were exactly where we were meant to be: right next to each other. (We feel the need to clarify that we saw Drake before he got cancelled lol) From childhood family ties to an unexpected love story, we’re so grateful life brought us together in its own time and way. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with the people who mean the most to us...you!
