COVID was spiking and a bunch of crazies had just rioted at the capital, but both Sarah and Aaron decided to do something even more ill advised: get back into online dating! They connected on OkCupid and had a strikingly boring factual exchange about cancelled concert tickets. Against all odds, they still agreed to see each other for a virtual date, during which Aaron wore jeans and Sarah 100% did not. Fortunately, it turns out that what they lack in texting ability, they more than made up for in actual personalities. Sarah was impressed by Aaron’s access to a premium Zoom account and Aaron was impressed by Sarah’s access to an apartment with windows. Aaron, who famously hates talking to strangers, found Sarah to be one of the most tolerable strangers he’d ever met. Sarah thought he was cute but secretly hoped that he was more than just a head. And good news, he was! After several socially distanced dates, where Aaron saw sunlight for the first time and Sarah awkwardly poked at his legs, they finally became two peas in a COVID pod.
