Where is the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will be at Clinton Gulch next to an alpine lake surrounded by the mountains 😍 This is about a 30 minute drive! This is not a private venue, rather it is public land that our wedding planner utilizes for elopements. Don’t worry - there will be no hiking involved here. Just a short walk to the lake!

How are we getting to the ceremony?

Answer

The brides have booked a sprinter bus to transport us to & from the ceremony location. This way nobody has to worry about driving in the mountains & everyone can drink if they wish to!

What’s for dinner on wedding night?

Answer

We have a private chef cooking for us at the Airbnb! Here’s the menu 🍽️ Grazing: Charcuterie board Apps: Bacon caesar salad & summer squash and goat cheese fritters Main: Grilled scallops with fried rice & Flank steak with elote succotash Dessert: Wedding cake & S’mores molten lava cake IMPORTANT: You can choose between each main course item, or you can do 1/2 and 1/2 of each option. Please let us know what you would like!

What time is hair and makeup arriving?

Answer

For the ladies - H&MU arrives around 9:30-10 AM. We have two artists coming & expect to be finished right around 1 PM.

What will we be doing on Thursday and Saturday?

Answer

Thursday night, the brides have planned a sunset lake boat cruise on Lake Dillon. This will be on a pontoon boat that we will drive ourselves! The boat cruise will be about 2 hours & afterwards we will make our way back to the Airbnb for some pizza & games!! Saturday we don’t have much planned! We’ll likely have a brunch & explore the town afterwards if we’re feeling up to it. Sky & I have some fun activities listed in the website if you’re looking for ideas!

What should we wear to the boat cruise?

Answer

For the boat cruise, we want everyone to wear white, tan & other light neutrals. For the guys - think linen shorts, white knit or polo shirts, khakis, and anything else beachy! Good places to look are at H&M, Target, Old Navy, Hollister, etc. For the girls - think linen pants, shorts, dresses, flowy dresses & skirts, white jeans, & other light neutrals. Good places to look are at Old Navy, Aerie, H&M, Hollister, Target, etc.

What’s the weather like? What if it rains?

Answer

The weather in Breck is unpredictable at times. We want to spend as much of our day in nature as possible, but sometimes the weather doesn’t allow for that! If it’s raining during our ceremony, our photographer/planner has clear umbrellas for everyone to use! If the sun is beating down on us, she also has parasols for us to use to shade from the sun. Usually if it rains, it’s a quick 15 minute shower & then it’s over! The average temp in Breck in August is a high of 68 and a low of 39. The days are hot and the nights are chilly!
