Our sophomore year at a homecoming party and we quickly became best friends. It had been almost a year since we had first met, when, in the fall of 2016, we realized there might be something more! We went on a first date, a hike in Boonsboro, Maryland. From there, we continued to date for the rest of college. After we graduated, we started our long-distance dating journey with me back home in Delaware and Sarah living in Maryland.

Dan was visiting Maryland that weekend and we planned to go hiking that morning at Annapolis Rocks. Little did I know, Dan had already previously asked my dad, bought a ring (somehow got the size absolutely perfect) and made a plan. We knew we wanted to get married but had never talked about when or discussed rings, sizes, anything! That morning, my hair or nails hadn't been done, and my mom subtly kept asking me "are you sure thats what you want to wear?". I clearly had no idea that anything was going on. We got to the top of the mountain and Dan proposed. I was absolutely in shock! I don't think I answered for almost a minute, it was more of a choking back the tears nod. Best day ever! We made long distance work for over 3 years and have now been together for over 5! We are so excited to start this new chapter as Mr. and Mrs. Galati!
