IS THERE A DRESS CODE?

Answer

For your comfort and style, the dress code is a formalized cocktail attire. All areas will be in the shade, so you can enjoy the celebration in a tux/suit or dress. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions! Ladies, rest assured flip-flops will be provided for dancing on the reception patio! Please avoid wearing white or similar colors.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

Answer

Please arrive promptly for the shuttle to leave at 6:00pm from the Winterthur Visitors Center (next to the parking) to the ceremony space. A bus will leave from the DoubleTree (Downtown Wilmington- Legal District) at 5:30pm.

WHEN IS THE HOTEL & AFTERPARTY TRANSPORT?

Answer

A bus will leave from the DoubleTree (Downtown Wilmington - Legal District) at 5:30PM. After the reception, a bus will be provided to the DoubleTree and the afterparty (Chelsea Tavern) at 11:40PM. Buses will be available to bring guests to the DoubleTree following the After-party at 1:00AM and 1:30AM.

IS THERE PARKING?

Answer

There is parking available at both the Winterthur Visitors Center and the DoubleTree Hotel. For your convenience, a bus will also be provided to and from the Winterthur, the DoubleTree Hotel and the afterparty. Please note Winterthur shuts their gates at night (after the conclusion of our reception). Parking for DoubleTree: Connected garage, run through the city of Wilmington. Parking for Afterparty: Street parking is free on weekends and after 6:00pm on weekdays. Nearby parking lots: Midtown Parking Garage (840 N. Orange Street), and Orange Street Parking Lot (134 N. Orange Street).

IS THE VENUE WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?

Please note that there are two sets of stairs leading to the ceremony space. Additionally, there is also a steep path leading from the parking to the Visitors Center. If you would prefer an alternate option, please reach out to the bride or groom when you RSVP. We’ll be happy to make comfortable accommodations to ensure you can be there without missing a moment of the celebration and travel in style.
