Spohr Gardens offers a an extensive woodland garden with seasonal flowers, butterfly garden, winding paths, and a great view of Oyster Pond. Just down at the end of the road you can find the entrance to Oyster Pond Sanctuary, a treasure of a hiking path such a secret that most locals don't seem to know about it!
Located in Historic Sandwich, the gardens offer a fun, educational and relaxing environment for all ages. It boasts the largest public garden in Southern New England. Located adjacent is the Heritage Adventure Park, which offers tree top obstacle courses.
Great spot for a day outdoors. The knob offers walking trails, sandy beaches on both the Quisset Harbor side and the Buzzards Bay side, as well as an incredible sunset.
19-century estate offering heritage exhibits, gardens, concerts and art shows. Be sure to check out the fairy gardens and sounds garden on the grounds, and so much fun for everyone! Just behind Highfield is Beebee Woods, which is one of our favorite places to get outside for a walk, beautiful in all seasons, and a nice place to really check out the fall foliage
This website offers a plethora of information on outdoor activities exploring Cape Cod's many ponds, great and small, water way, and incredible biodiversity, as well as biking, hiking and paddling spots. You can also find more information on on the Shining Seas Bike Path, which starts in Woods Hole and run some 12 miles up toward North Falmouth.

If anyone wants to head over to the Vineyard for the day, which I highly recommend if you have the time, head on down to the Steamship ticket office in Woods Hole. While there, look to town and that tall building on the corner is Quicks Hole Tavern! The Vineyard stays pretty lively and active through Columbus day weekend.
Local brewery founded on the Vineyard, their newer East Falmouth location offers a tasting room with pizza and light bites, as well as outdoor games and live music.
