A shared passion for racing sparked the beginning of our love story. Although our paths had crossed years before our relationship began, timing has a way of working out exactly as it’s meant to. In 2023, while Sarah was living in California, she came home to Virginia for a short weekend visit. We decided to take a chance on our first date — at none other than a racetrack, Martinsville Speedway. Long distance couldn’t slow us down. We made every effort to spend time together whenever Sarah was home, and with every memory and special moment, our relationship grew stronger. Then, at the very place where it all began, Martinsville Speedway became part of our story once again. On October 26, 2025, just after the national anthem and during the flyover before the NASCAR race, Matthew proposed completely catching Sarah off guard. Now, we can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter of our story with all of you!
