We met on the dating app, Bumble - the best right-swipe we ever made. :) Shortly after, we set our first date - a boat day on the lake. I met Kevin's parents, sister and best friends on our very first date - the first time we ever met. It was amazing! Immediately felt I was apart of the family. Had a great lake day, then, the monsoon hit. Kevin proceeded to use himself as a human shield to save me from the painful rain - so sweet, right?! To make things more interesting once we got home, the power was out. Unshowered and covered in lake, we went with his parents to get Japanese food. And honestly, that was a wrap and we've been inseparable ever since.
For over a month, we were planning a dinner for Kevin's mom's "birthday." I'd like to think I'm a pretty observant person - not this time (not even the girls day to get our nails done a week prior)! On the way to the restaurant, in a familiar fashion, it started monsooning during the drive. When we arrived, I was completely oblivious to all the stares we received on the way to the table (the restaurant was eagerly awaiting our arrival after watching the set up). I was hyper-focused on my parents to make sure they were settled - completely oblivious to the lit up heart on the floor and the "will you marry me" sign hung 5 feet from the table. Kevin then says we need to go our table - I turn around everything started clicking. Completely stunned and confused, he guides me to the center of the lit up heart, says all the sweetest things drops to his knee. The easiest yes I've ever said. We are thrilled to have you all join us on our special day.
