Question

Arrival and airport pickup in San Juan

Answer

You can either take a taxi or an Uber from the airport. The cost should range from $20-$25 depending on where you're staying.

Question

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

No you certainly don't need to as it's very easy to get around San Juan using taxis and Uber. Plus, we are providing shuttles to and from the wedding. If you will be traveling throughout Puerto Rico, a car is definitely recommended though. If you choose to do this, please check with your hotel/AirBnB about parking.

Question

Do I need to exchange money?

Answer

If you are from outside the United States, yes you will need to exchange money. USD is the currency in Puerto Rico and majority of places accepts cash and/or major credit cards.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We understand that things are a bit uncertain right now, and that plans can change suddenly. RSVP as early as you're comfortable, but no later than January 12th, 2022. Rest assured that we are staying on top of evolving COVID-19 safety measures. Check back on the website for any updates!

Question

What's the weather like in Puerto Rico?

Answer

The weather should be in the 70's-80's. Note, our ceremony and reception venue are in the rainforest, so a passing sprinkle isn't uncommon. Our ceremony will take place at sunset as things begin to cool down and our entire reception will be outdoors.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

You can stay wherever you would like. Spencer and I will be staying at La Concha in Condado where we have a room block. We also recommend any of the Airbnb's and hotels on the 'Travel' tab. Please note if you are having trouble booking the hotel block at La Concha please let SJ know at sarahjane.mcquaid@gmail.com and we will hopefully be able to get it fixed for you!

Question

Can we take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We have chosen to have an Unplugged Ceremony. This means no cameras, cell phones, iPads or other electronics until after the ceremony. This includes when people are walking down the aisle. We are touched that you want to document our special day, but we hired photographers that we want to be able to capture this moment without screens being in the photos. After that ceremony though... SNAP AND RECORD AWAY!!!

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

If you are a United States citizen, you do NOT need a passport to go to Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico is part of the United States so all you need is the same identification you use to fly anywhere else in the country. Everyone else, Yep!

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your kids, our venue is adults only unless they are in the bridal party. We know this can make things difficult but hopefully with plenty of notice you can secure childcare for the weekend and make a vacation out of it! However, we understand if you cannot attend and we love you just the same.

Question

What else should we do in Puerto Rico?

Answer

There's lots to do in Puerto Rico. We have spent a lot of time in San Juan and Culebra and can answer any questions anyone has about these areas. Also, check out the 'Explore' tab!
