Question

A note on pronouns

Answer

This is queer wedding - we have a range of guests of all genders! Here is a great website to check out before coming to our wedding so you can help us make this party feel comfortable for all guests and staff! https://pronouns.org/

Question

How do I book my cabin?

Answer

Once you RSVP, if you indicated that you would like to stay at Ogontz or if you didn't indicate a preference, you will receive an email from our Ogontz event planner. This might not happen immediately, but will happen well before the event. At that time, she will let you know about your assigned accommodations, pricing info, and payment info!

Question

I haven't heard anything about housing yet even though I've RSVP'd. What's the deal?

Answer

Thanks for RSVPing! It helps us organize our housing assignments. The wedding planner at Ogontz will be handling housing booking in batches, so you will get an email from her in a timely fashion. However, you needn't worry - your cabin is pre-reserved, and we won't run out of spaces!

Question

Are the Ogontz accommodations accessible and family friendly?

Answer

All of the accommodations are rustic, meaning you'll be going over grass and gravel to get almost anywhere on the campus. That said, we have done our best to assign cabins based on the needs of our guests, whether you have a small child or need to be close to the festivities. We will also have a golf cart to help everyone get around. However, if you have any concerns, you are always welcome to stay in the Lyman Hampton Inn instead (located about 10 miles from Ogontz)!

Question

Are meals included or do I need to plan to eat off site?

Answer

All of our guests, regardless of whether or not they are staying at Ogontz, will receive dinner provided on both Friday and Saturday night. If you RSVP'd yes to brunch on Saturday and Sunday, those meals will also be provided. We purposefully scheduled brunch on Saturday to be on the later side, so hopefully it will tide you over, but there is also a small camp store at Ogontz if you get peckish.

Question

What should I pack? What are we wearing?

Answer

Pack for summer camp + luxury. Friday night is summer-camp semiformal for the BBQ. During the day on Saturday, you will have the opportunity to swim, enjoy the grounds, and play yard games. Then we will transition into the ceremony and reception, the fancier part of the evening. You'll definitely want to bring a bathing suit, headlamp or flashlight, water bottle, beach towel, and perhaps some bug spray and sunscreen. Please note that in the rustic cabins, you'll have to walk to a communal bathroom at night, so a headlamp and slip-on shoes are highly recommended.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Yes! If you were invited and you have a child, your child is invited! That said, we understand that some people would prefer a weekend away from the kids :) We are working on potentially getting childcare for the ceremony and reception - stay tuned!

Question

Which airport is the closest? How do I get from the airport to the venue?

Answer

Three airports that are in the vicinity, in order of distance are: Manchester Regional Airport (NH), Burlington International Airport (VT), and Boston Logan Airport (MA). A car will be required to get from any of those spots to Ogontz, but we are hopeful that we will be able to coordinate some carpools, so please reach out if that interests you (or coordinate with your other people who are coming to the wedding).

Question

Are pets invited?

Answer

Unfortunately, no. While Ogontz seems pet friendly, there are chickens and other animals on site who could be disturbed by the presence of a pet.

Question

We are planning to explore the area before and/or after the wedding, any nearby suggestions?

Answer

There is so much to do in the area, especially if you're interested in exploring the outdoors! Below are some of our suggestions: -Franconia Notch (the heart of the White Mountains) is located about 30 miles from Ogontz. Lafayette Campground is one of our favorite places to camp as it provides you with access to so many trails nearby. Feel free to check out the hike that Sarah proposed to Hayley on, Sugar Loaf Trail (https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/new-hampshire/north-and-middle-sugarloaf-via-sugarloaf-trail) -Loon Mountain Resort in Lincoln, NH is a mecca for outdoor family fun! There are many places to stay with the family & many outdoor activities to enjoy such as zip lining, mountain biking & hiking! -Woodstock Inn & Brewery in Lincoln, NH -Mt. Washington Hotel, stay, hike & ride the Cog Railway to the top of Mt. Washington. There are many great hiking trails around this area, ask us for our favorites!

Question

What time is check in & check out?

Answer

Check in Friday August 5th is anytime after 2:00PM - once you arrive at Ogontz you will check in at the Camp Store (there will be a sign directing you where to go), you will be able to drive your car up to your cabin to unload & then will be directed to the parking lot. Once you are checked in, you are welcome to swim & explore the property before the BBQ starts. Check out is at 10:00AM on Sunday after the brunch. Though check out is 10:00AM, we have the property until 3:00PM - feel free to stay onsite & enjoy the lake with Hayley & Sarah! The brides will be hanging out all day.
