FAQs

If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re so grateful you’re traveling all this way to celebrate with us.
Question

What is the time difference?

Answer

Italy is 6 hours ahead of Savannah most of the year, including the time we will be there! Something to keep in mind regarding travel.

Question

How will meals be coordinated?

Answer

The villa offers meal service throughout the day; however, a minimum of 10 guests is required for the villa to provide service for any scheduled meal. Our plan is to enjoy breakfast at the villa most mornings, with lunch out during excursions, and a mix of dinners at the villa with a private chef or reservations at local restaurants on select evenings. Details will be dialed in through this platform, so keep checking as we get closer to the date. That said, there are several nearby supermarkets available should anything additional be needed during the week. Please note that lunch and dinner will be provided on Rehearsal Day and Wedding Day.

Question

Is our attendance mandatory for the schedule you have posted?

Answer

Our hope is to make the most of our time in Italy through sightseeing and shared experiences, while fully recognizing that everyone travels differently. Grant and I would be delighted for you to join us whenever an activity sounds appealing, and if not, we encourage you to enjoy your time in the way that feels best to you. A list of ideas is included in "Things To Do" should you be looking for inspiration.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

As of now, it should be perfect weather! 60-75 degrees.

Question

What should we expect for the Rehearsal and Wedding Day?

Answer

Expect the flow to work similarly to a wedding in the States, just in Italy!

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes. AND U.S. passports must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date.

Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Bari (BRI) is the closest airport to the villa. Rome (FCO) is another option with more flight choices, followed by a connecting flight or train.

Question

How far is the villa from the airport?

Answer

About 30–40 minutes from Bari Airport by car.

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

Yes. The villa and surrounding towns are best accessed by car, but taxis are available and transportation (buses and taxis depending on the RSVP count) will be a part of excursions. Due to this, I recommend a carpool method if possible.

Question

Should I carry cash? Do places accept credit cards?

Answer

Yes, it is recommended to carry cash—specially for small cafés, taxis, or parking. Most do accept credit cards, but not all — especially smaller towns, so keep this in mind!

Question

What if there is a day I would like to stay at the Villa?

Answer

Good news—there are plenty of optional activities available at the villa! A few are listed below. If you’d like to schedule any of these, please contact me ahead of time and I’ll be happy to coordinate with the villa manager. On-site yoga class On-site massage On-site cooking class The pool
