It was Labor Day Weekend of 2016. Sarah had just finished a book (The Untethered Soul) by the pool in Sonoma and started flipping through Instagram. She stopped scrolling at a photo her friend Christian had posted of a gorgeous pool with a vineyard backdrop nearby in St. Helena. Intrigued, she messaged Christian, who invited her to stop by his best friend’s family’s place for a glass of wine before heading back into the city. Moments after she arrived, Conor walked out in a Hawaiian shirt with two glasses of sauvignon blanc, and the connection was instant. It wasn’t hard to convince her to stay for dinner that night, and she didn’t leave until Monday. They went out the following weekend, driving to Stinson Beach, singing and playing guitar, and watching The Secret Life of Walter Mitty - twice. It felt like they’d known each other their whole lives. Lying by the fire, they made a list of all of the things they wanted to do together in this lifetime. After countless concerts, Conor’s intense tonsillectomy, a move to Marin, and many adventures, Conor proposed in Big Sur, the day before Sarah’s 30th birthday, outside of their tent in the rain. We are so excited to celebrate our wedding with you in the exact place we met that magical day in St. Helena.
