Question

CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN / CAN I BRING A PLUS ONE?

Answer

We are excited to celebrate our special day surrounded by close family and friends. With a limited guest list, we will only be able to accommodate guests who are named on formal invitations. Please note that both our ceremony & reception will be adult-only.

Question

IS THERE A DRESS CODE?

Answer

We ask guests to dress in all black formal attire. Please see below for more detailed suggestions, and feel free to reach out with any questions. Our ceremony will be held outdoors on grass (weather permitting), and our reception will be held in a beautiful open-air tent. The month of May in Canada can be unpredictable, and the evenings can get chilly. Please be prepared to dress for a warm afternoon and a cool evening. Ladies: black cocktail dress, black formal dress, black dress pants with black blouse Gentlemen: black or dark charcoal suit / suit pants with black or white dress shirt

Question

HOW CAN I RSVP / WHAT IS THE DEADLINE TO RSVP?

Answer

The sooner we get your response, the sooner we can start looking forward to seeing you! Please make sure to RSVP by March 31 - we will not be able to add guests to our final count after that date. You can RSVP under the "RSVP" tab of this website. Enter your first & last name as it appears on your invitation, click "will attend" or "will not attend", answer additional questions regarding meal preferences, and click "Submit RSVP" to finish.

Question

DO YOU HAVE A REGISTRY?

Answer

We appreciate your presence on our special day more than anything! In lieu of a traditional registry, if you wish to celebrate with a gift we would be grateful for cash contributions towards our future together.

Question

CAN I TAKE PHOTOS DURING THE CEREMONY?

Answer

We ask that all phones & cameras be turned off and kept out of sight for the duration of our ceremony. We want all of our guests to be truly present to experience these special moments with us. Our hired professionals will capture the ceremony through photos & videos, and we will happily share those memories afterwards.

Question

WILL THERE BE AN OPEN BAR?

Answer

Yes, there will be an open bar beginning at cocktail hour and continuing through the evening. Due to venue restrictions, we are not able to have a shot table (an Italian wedding tradition). However, guests are welcome to request a shot at the bar as they enter the reception tent.

Question

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE AT THE VENUE?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00pm. We recommend arriving at the venue half an hour prior, to allow enough time for parking and seating. A more detailed timeline for the day can be found under the "Schedule" tab of this website.

Question

WHERE SHOULD I PARK? WILL TRANSPORTATION BE PROVIDED FROM THE VENUE?

Answer

When you arrive, you will see a large parking lot on the lefthand side and a driveway to the venue entrance on the right. Guests who are not able to walk from the parking lot may be dropped off at the venue entrance. Guests are allowed (and encouraged) to leave their vehicles overnight in the venue parking lot. We have arranged a shuttle service for the wedding night, to transport guests from the venue to the Novotel Hotel. The shuttles will be running at 10:00pm, 11:00pm, & 12:00am.

Question

WHAT ACCOMMODATIONS ARE AVAILABE FOR OUT-OF-TOWN GUESTS?

Answer

The Novotel Hotel in Vaughn is located approximately 30 minutes from Eaton Hall. A block of rooms have been reserved for wedding guests on Thursday (May 15) and Friday (May 16), and will be offered at a discounted rate for those nights. If you wish to stay there, you can call the hotel at 905-660-0212, or toll free at 1-866-630-2680 to book. You can also email your reservation request to novotel.torontovaughan@accor.com. Make sure to mention that you are a guest of the Rennie-Jameson Wedding (Block ID 847621) to enjoy special rates.

Question

WHAT ATTRACTIONS CAN WE FIND IN THE AREA?

Answer

We understand that many of you will be flying a great distance to attend our wedding. We have curated a list of nearby attractions to explore if you have extra time in Canada! This can be found under the "Things To Do" tab of this website.
