Our first date was at Hatchet Coffee in Boone, NC. What started as just getting coffee turned into dinner at a local mexican restaurant, then into watching bad movies on a tiny laptop, and then talking late into the night- it ended up being a 12 hour date. The summer of 2018 we became inseparable, texting and calling all the time when we weren't together. By autumn we knew we were in love!

We had been discussing marriage for some time before November 2021, when we both suddenly felt it was time. After ring shopping together in Tyson's Corner, Jake proposed on November 26th, 2021 at Holden Beach while on vacation with family.
