Question

How do I prepare for the altitude?

Answer

Silverthorne's altitude is a little less than 9,000ft. Our wedding venue is at 11,500ft. Please drink water prior to traveling out here and continue to drink water to try to avoid altitude sickness. Please also be aware that higher altitudes can affect how you feel when consuming alcohol. If you have any medical conditions, please double check with your doctor that it will be safe for you to be at that altitude! Please visit this website for information about avoiding altitude sickness: https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/page/travel-to-high-altitudes

Is there transportation to and from the ceremony?

Answer

There will be a shuttle to transport you from Hotel Indigo to A-Basin. You are also welcome to drive yourself to A-Basin and park at the base of the mountain.
