It all began in 2014 at JH Ranch. Russell and I met at church camp and it didn’t take us very long to realize we were smitten. Unfortunately, he was a Florida boy and I was an Alabama girl and… I couldn’t even drive yet. So, we called each other and FaceTimed every single day for months after camp was over just not willing to let go of our “camp crush.” We eventually gave up as we realized there was too much distance and it wouldn’t work because we were so young. As we decided to move forward as friends, Russell stopped me and said “I have to tell you something SE, but I have been holding off because I didn’t know how you would respond.” Then he proceeds to tell me he had a two fold dream of me in white walking down the isle and then us growing old together. He said he was sure it was from the lord and that I am his wife! I told him that if that is true, I believe him and somehow our paths will cross again. Well, flash forward 7 years later and WAS HE RIGHT!! Russell messaged me on Instagram in February of 2021 to a picture of my golden doodle Hank saying how cute he was. As soon as I saw his name, it all came back to me. I immediately thought, “oh my gosh he is my husband.” I just knew. We proceeded from there with a 3 and 1/2 hour phone convo to make up for lost time, that led to Russell asking if he could book a flight to Texas and take me on a date. The rest… well it’s history! So thankful the Lord brought us back together and I’m so sure our love is a perfect example of the Lord’s faithfulness and love for his children.
