Our Wedding

I moved to Mount Pleasant in 2016 after graduating from Carolina to start my nursing career in the ER. I met one of my best friends (and honorary bridesmaids!), Melissa, in the new graduate nursing program at the hospital. In the meantime, Wright was starting his PGA certification that required a trip to Florida. While in the sunshine state he met Melissa’s boyfriend at the time (now husband!), John, and the two hit it off about all things golf. Fast forward several months later when John and Melissa decided Wright and I needed to meet. We all met at the Shelter in Mount Pleasant to watch the South Carolina men’s basketball team beat Duke to advance to the Sweet 16 in March 2017. Wright and I hit it off immediately and we both knew we had found something special-our first date was less than a week later! Needless to say, Melissa’s famous words “Wright’s a Clemson fan-it’ll never work!” seemed to be proved wrong. I still like to remind Wright that we met because of the Gamecocks! Over the next four-and-a-half years our relationship grew and it didn’t take long for us to both realize we had found our "person". On February 5th, 2022 Wright pulled off the best surprise ever and asked me to marry him while down on one knee in the sand on Isle of Palms. We both agree it was the most joyous day of our lives! We were able to celebrate with our families immediately after Wright made me the happiest girl in the world and we had the best day celebrating with all of those we love. We can’t wait to celebrate with our incredible families and friends on April 22nd, 2023!
