One random day in September 2020, something told Sara to download Bumble. Sara and her girlfriend had a few chuckles scrolling through that night, when she came across someone she never saw, never met, definitely not local. A picture of one of the most handsome men she’s ever seen, with a dog licking his face. She got home, put Jordan to bed, and sent a “👋🏼” to this handsome man named Trevor. That’s it. One 👋🏼 message. And Trevor’s response was, “that’s all you got? A wave? 😂” Sara said “I don’t know I’ve never done this before and that’s what was suggested I do in this message space 😂” Texting for hours that night, they squeezed in a first date the next night! After that date they never stopped seeing each other. Sara and Trevor didn’t think feeling this way in love was even possible. They had both put their ideas of that feeling on the back burner. They realized they were in love in New Orleans within 3 months of dating. They have visited Washington DC, New Orleans, Lauderdale by the Sea, Miami, Willow NY, Atlanta, Vermont, Charleston, Las Vegas, USVI, Boston & Salem Massachusetts. Also Indian Rock Beach Florida, Shenandoah Valley Virginia & Delaware with the kids. And of course we frequent places we call home like Philadelphia, Atlantic City & LBI all within less than 3 years! Sara and Trevor both agree if you can travel and navigate well together to unknown places, it really says something about your relationship. Early 2022 Trevor asked the kids (in front of Sara) where should he propose to her? Somewhere tropical? They all scream yes. Almost instantly Trevor asks Sara if she wants to go to St Thomas in December 🤣 she says of course. (Of course) Multiple ring conversations later and more increasingly nervous Trevor as the vacation nears, and Sara amazingly scary memory, Sara knows what’s bound to happen on this vacation. The ring traveled from NJ to St Thomas, In backpack all over the island, all different beaches, into a safe, back into a backpack, then zipped into a pocket on a sunset cruise! Bar hopping, local food places, to a locals condo, then in Trevor’s pocket for a fancy dinner at sunset on the top of a hill. Sara had been asking for days when can she open her Veuve Cliquot and he kept saying “oh just wait, oh just wait.” Finally end of day 3 of the trip, December 5, he proposed. Which coincidentally also happened to be the same date 2 years prior that Trevor’s 2 children and Sara’s daughter met for the first time. Sara and Trevor are looking forward to their intimate evening with all of you Friday December 8.
