If you are traveling from Paris you will need to get to Lyon. Once you are in Lyon you can either rent a car or take a bus. To avoid a 7 hour bus trip from Lyon you can rent a car for approx. 30 to 50 dollars per day. The drive will take about 3.5-4 hours.

Travel from Paris to Lyon
You’ll fly in Charles De Gaulle airport in Paris and take the train to Gare du Nord. Next, get on the metro to Gare de Lyon. Book a direct train to Lyon it’s around 2 hours and should cost around $50. You can rent a car or take a bus from Lyon to Saint Veran. See below.

Travel from Lyon France
When you arrive in Lyon train Station you need to get on the Metro... you ride it to the Jean-Mace Metro Station. From there you can get on a Bus directly to Saint Veran... the bus takes 7-8 hours and costs appox. $20-$30. Alternately you can rent a car in Lyon for approx. $30-$50 per day (you'll need to book this in advance of leaving the U.S.) and it's about a 3.5 hour drive.
