Santana Row and Westfield Valley fair are next to each other and are fun places to do some people watching, eat good food, and go shopping. If you like dumplings, do not miss out on Din Tai Fung.
Downtown Los Gatos is a cute place to walk around and eat. Go to Lolli and Pops for your fill of candy, Petroglyph if you want to paint pottery, Main Street Burger for a tasty burger, or Teleferic Barcelona for delicious tapas.
If you are in the Bay Area, don't leave without spending some time in San Francisco. There is plenty to see and eat. Just don't forget layers because it can be surprisingly chilly.
If you are staying in Main Street, Cupertino, do not miss out on this yummy bakery.
If you are staying in Main Street Cupertino and need some coffee, we recommend Philz. The mint mojito iced coffee is our personal favorite.
When in California, you have to try In-N-Out. It's way better than Shake Shack (except for the fries). Sorry East Coast friends. If you are getting fries, make sure you get them animal style.
Cupertino is the home of Apple. If you want to learn more, check out the visitor center.
Northern California wine country is a beautiful place to visit whether or not you like drinking wine. The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone in Saint Helena has amazing food. Some of our favorite wineries are V. Sattui, Castello di Amorosa, and Sterling Vineyards.
These neighboring towns are great places to visit if you have a little more time. Carmel is a cute coastal town with small shops, restaurants, and a nice (cold) beach. Monterey has the second best aquarium in the USA and good salt water taffy. While visiting, we recommend doing the scenic 17 mile drive, which goes through the famous Pebble Beach.
