Question

How can I get to the Island?

Answer

You can arrive on the island by ferry or plane. If you plan to bring a car, you will need to book a reservation on the Steamship Authority beginning February 3rd.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding dress code is formal. We invite our guests to wear floor-length gowns, formal cocktail dresses, pantsuits, suits, or tuxedos. Attire in fun colors or unique fabrics is encouraged. Please visit our Pinterest board for inspiration: https://pin.it/1qxbaLVZ5

Question

Will the wedding be outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors. Our reception will be under a tent. Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be on grass. Block heels are recommended.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

We recommend that you stay within walking distance of the Dr. Daniel Fisher House. We listed a variety of options in the Travel section. If you are outside of walking distance, we recommend that you book a taxi service or Uber to the venue. We also recommend the public bus system that makes stops all over the Island. Please note that our venue does not have parking.

Question

Are Ubers readily available on the Island?

Answer

They are available, but can often have longer waits or be more expensive. For larger groups, we recommend scheduling a taxi ahead of time. See below for reputable taxi companies on the island: Lighthouse Taxi: https://lighthousetaximv.com/services Bluefish Taxi: https://www.bluefishtaxi.net/

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start around 2:30 p.m. Please arrive 15 minutes before the ceremony to get settled.
