We are in the mountains after all. ** Please wear comfortable shoes. We will be walking from the gondola to the restaurant. Its about a 15 min walk.
The altitude will most definitely affect you in some way. Vai's altitude is at 8,000 feet. Please, please make sure to drink LOTS of water. This will prevent you from getting sick. If you start feeling a headache coming on, drink some more water. As for drinking alcohol. You will not be able to drink as much as you are used to in MN. Please drink in moderation. You will become more intoxicated much faster with less alcohol, and you will definitely pay for it in the morning. That being said we want you to have fun, and party with us, just take things a little slower than you normally do.
Colorado weather is very strange. It might be storming one minute and 5 minutes later there wont be a cloud in the sky. It is also early June, so there is even a small possibility of snow! I would bring a couple spring outfits as well as a jacket and maybe a long sleeve shirt and some pants. It will mostly likely be in the 40-50s at night and 70s during the day. I would also bring some shoes to walk around in or hike in. Sunglasses and sunscreen is also a must. The sun is very strong out here and you will get burnt if you are not wearing any sunscreen.
