Yes, for some of the sit down restaurants there are dress codes (example pants/collared shirts for men). Please look at the Dreams Playa Mujeres Website or download the AMR Collection app for all information.
Download the AMR Collections app and select Dreams Playa Mujeres. Information such as daily activities, restaurant times and dress codes, spa services, room service and much more info is included in the app.
1. Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen! It is very expense at resorts if you run out! 2. An insulated mug or yeti type cup. Most the bars, including the swim-up bars will fill your personal mug for you instead of giving you a drink in a small plastic cup.
Once you get thru customs and get your bags, head directly outside the airport to where the transportation is. You will walk thru a guantlet of people trying to offer you timeshares, rides to hotels, excursions, etc. Best advice is to proceed thru this area without stopping!
If you are using the travel agent, she can help facilitate pre-booked transportation or you can search online for companies that provide transfers. They highly suggest you don't wait until you arrive to secure transportation.
Secrets, which is the adults only sister resort of Dreams, is right next door. If you are 18 or over and staying at Dreams, you have full access to all the amenities at Secrets also.
One thing to be aware, there will quite a few sales pitches when you check in to get you to meet for breakfast/lunch to listen to "special offers" which is basically a pitch to sell you a vacation time share. I would suggest you politely decline and don't get roped into one of these offers (unless you are interested in a time share!)
