We're getting married!

In 2019, Sara took a “one-year break” from teaching in Michigan to chase an adventure in Warsaw, Poland, unaware that this detour would change her life forever. That December, thanks to two friends who thought they’d be a great match, Sara met Rafa. They were right. What followed was a love story tested by COVID, long distance, and a few cultural surprises, but strengthened by every challenge. Together, Sara and Rafa packed up and moved to Dubai, where they spent three years wandering the desert, tasting cuisines from around the world, and traveling to places like Sri Lanka, India, and Nepal. In 2024, their journey led them to Estepona, Spain, a sunny beach town just outside Málaga that finally felt like home. And in the summer of 2025 while visiting family in Puerto Rico, Rafa asked Sara to marry him on the beach. She said yes,and the adventure continues.
