Awesome place to indulge in outdoor activities. There’s plenty of walking and biking trails. You can also sit at the brewery on-site and watch folks tackle the white water rapids. Kayaks, bikes, other gear available for rent if you’re feeling adventurous.
If you’re into left turns then this is your place! Great location in Uptown Charlotte near the hotel blocks makes an easy activity during downtime.
Beautiful natural area a little outside of town. If you have a rental car then head on down and check out the Botanical Garden and the super cute historic town of Belmont.
Perfect museum that’s fun for all ages. Lots of interactive exhibits mean more learning and fun.
Another family fun museum. Very interactive for kids (and adults) of all ages. After you finish the exhibits check out 7th Street Public Market - Charlotte’s take on Pike Place.
Fun market that’s Charlotte’s take on Pike Place. Lots of local vendors. If you’re looking for great food, great wine, local gifts then look no further. My personal favorite is Orman’s Cheese Shoppe.
One of the first museum’s for African-American history in the U.S. A great stop to reflect on the history of our nation, reflect on how far we’ve come and how much further we have to go. Highly recommend this stop for reflection.
Great museum in Uptown. Close to hotel blocks and great way to spend some time.
Beautiful museum with an amazing restaurant attached. Fun fact: Sara has had many corporate events here.
Sara’s favorite museum in Uptown. Amazing variety of art on display with a super knowledgeable staff. If you swing by try to get a guided tour. The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art is the only museum in the Southern United States dedicated to European and American Modern Art and its legacies. Capturing a remarkable era of art history from the collection of the Zürich-based Bechtler family, the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art collection includes works by some of the most important and influential figures of modernism. Featuring 28 key works of art from the Bechtler collection, this intimate exhibition highlights works by Alexander Calder, Le Corbusier, Edgar Degas, Max Ernst, Alberto Giacometti, Hans Hartung, Barbara Hepworth, Jasper Johns, Paul Klee, Fernand Legér, Alfred Manessier, Joan Miró, Kenneth Noland, Pablo Picasso, Bridget Riley, Niki de Saint Phalle, Gustave Singier, Nicolas de Staël, and Andy Warhol.
If you want to swing by the restaurant where we had our first date, feel free. We recommend all the fried chicken on the menu.
Best sushi in Charlotte, hands down. The tuna usuzukuri and truffle lobster roll are our go-tos to order.
Low key brewery with tons of parking.
Amazing oysters. Great location in Uptown close to hotel blocks.
Amazing dog bar with lots of screens for games. Various nights can include trivia and karaoke.
The #1 attraction in Charlotte on TripAdvisor. If you’d like some evangelical hypocrisy in your life then this is the place to visit.
