It all started with tomatoes... When Sara and Patrick met for the first time, they had no idea they were actually living in the same apartment building in Denver. For their first date, they met in the lobby and walked to Poka Lola Social Club where they immediately hit it off over cocktails. After a few drinks, Patrick told Sara about a *serious* problem he had...he was going out of town for work and had no one to water the tomato plants he had growing in his apartment. So, he asked Sara (whom he'd now known for all of two hours) if she'd water them. She said yes and the rest is history!

Three years (to the day!) after meeting, Patrick and Sara had dinner plans for their anniversary. Patrick convinced Sara to get dressed up and take their puppy Irving on a walk at the lake before going out. As soon as they got close to Sloan's Lake at sunset, Patrick dropped to his knee and proposed with Irving in tow!
