Sara and Nick met during their first semester at California State University, Long Beach. The two met through mutual friends and slowly entered a strong friendship. Sara and Nick became best friends throughout their time in college until one day Nick decided to kiss Sara and the rest is history.

Nick and Sara celebrated their second anniversary with Valentine's Day dinner on Naples Island in Long Beach, CA. With stomachs full of steak and wine the couple took a stroll through the canals of the neighborhood. They sat waterfront and admired the moon over the ocean. Nick said he had to tie his shoe and casually got down on one knee. He pulled out the ring he was keeping in his sock all night and asked Sara to be his wife.

Nick was born and raised in Fresno, CA. He is loved by his mother and father, JeriLane and Theron, and his older brother, Taylor. Nick graduated from California State University, Long Beach in May 2018 with a degree in economics. During his time in college, he was a part of the ROTC program, served as an executive officer of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, and worked for the University Student Union as a building manager. He is a second lieutenant of the U.S. Army and will be stationed at Fort Drum, New York, at the end of November 2018. Sara was born in South Korea, adopted at 3-months of age, and raised in Montgomery County, Maryland. She is loved by her mother, Susan and older brother, Aaron. Warm weather brought her to California State University, Long Beach, where she met Nick. She will graduate with a degree in public relations in May 2019. During her time in college, she was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, elected Sweetheart of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, and worked full-time in the restaurant industry. Together, Sara and Nick have raised one puppy, Bean, and one cat, Benjie. They have created a loving home in Long Beach, CA. The two have spent the summer of 2018 apart as Nick began his military career in Virginia. The day after the wedding the two will fly to New York to begin their new lives as husband and wife. Sara and Nick are both incredibly excited for their future together.
