We love going to the Eagle Center! You can learn about eagles, stand face-to-face with a live eagle, and watch wild eagles soar above the observation deck. We recommend attending an eagle presentation - the gift shop is awesome too :)
LARK Toys, with over 20,000 sq. ft. to explore, is one of the largest independent specialty toy stores in the country. The Chocolate Escape offers old-fashioned gourmet chocolates and candies, a wide assortment of perfectly crafted ice creams, gifts and souvenirs. Choose from their selection of gourmet Bluecaf coffees while you enjoy the view of the beautiful Mississippi River.
This park is located on the banks of the Mississippi River and features a spacious beach area, a picnic pavilion, gazebo, playground, beach area, and public restroom facilities with showers. There are also walking paths that provide scenic views of the nearby marina. Additionally, there is a municipal campground adjacent to the park that offers 51 seasonal sites.
Alma, Wisconsin offers both aggressive and leisurely hikes. Mossy Hollow is a gentle trail, found off of Cemetery Road, whereas Buena Vista, starting on Second Street, gets steep in parts. Both trails lead to breathtaking views of the Mississippi River Valley. If you're not up for the hike, drive to the top of Buena Vista via Country Road E, which you'll find at the south end of town. Enjoy the 500-foot bluff top park with its swing set, pavilion, grills, and valley views.
Castlerock Museum is an arms and armor museum; exhibits include arms and armor from many points in European history. A visit offers the chance to view and learn about authentic armor spanning many periods. The collection begins with ancient Greece, and concludes in the early modern period. Displays are enriched by using art prints to show the arms and armor in their historical context.
