The day before their ceremony they visited the Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute in the foothills of the Davis Mountains. They enjoyed meandering through the desert botanical garden.

Sara surprised Marcus with this custom sign which to use in pictures on their trip. It now serves as a special memento and is on display in their current rental home.

Roux stayed with Sara’s parents while they were gone so this is right after they picked her up. Though it was for the best for all involved, they had really missed being with their silly waggy lady.

As part of a 2002 restoration, the rear facade of the chapel was left bare to show the original adobe and rock construction that had been hiding under the plaster work done in the early 1940s.
