Things To Do

San Francisco is where we now call home, and we want you to have the best vacation in our wonderful city by the bay. See below for our favorite things to do and places to eat!
Crissy Field East Beach

Crissy Field East Beach

San Francisco, CA 94129

Soak in the best views of San Francisco’s architectural icon at our favorite beach! We come here all the time, and its Laura's & Ozzy’s favorite spot to swim. Crissy Field is such a unique place, blending the wild Pacific Northwest with unbelievable views of the Golden Gate Bridge, the Bay, and the city skyline. If you only do one thing while you’re in SF, we’d recommend this spot!

Green Apple Books

Green Apple Books

506 Clement Street, San Francisco, CA 94118

This is possibly - most likely - the best bookstore on the planet! Their curation is thoughtful and surprising! We love going to Green Apple and also love Clement Street! Browse through Green Apple, find some reads you never expected to find, and then wander around Clement Street - maybe even get some delicious Chinese food at Tenglong (on Clement between Third & Fourth) or step into Tokyo when you step into Moku Yakitori-Ya on 8th Ave!

Cable Car!

Cable Car!

2439-2401 Taylor Street, San Francisco, CA 94133

California Street line: The oldest surviving cable car line (opened in 1878) runs east-west along California Street. It starts at Market Street, next to the Hyatt Regency Hotel, two blocks west of the Ferry Building. The California cable cars roll through the imposing Financial District past historic restaurants and buildings interspersed with modern high-rises. Then they climb Nob Hill through Chinatown, cross the other cable car lines at Powell Street, and top out at Grace Cathedral, an imposing and beautiful building inside and out. From there, it’s downhill to reach Polk Gulch, an interesting shopping area, ending at Van Ness Avenue, the City’s main north-south boulevard.

Ferry Building

Ferry Building

1 Ferry Building, San Francisco, CA 94105

If you're staying at the Harbor Court Hotel, this is a great Saturday option! There is a Farmers' Market every Saturday at the Ferry Building. You can walk there quickly and wander around one of San Francisco's most famous establishments and a local farmers' market! We recommend trying some local sourdough if you can find it, San Francisco is famous for their sourdough bread! YUM!

Golden Gate Park: The Golden Mile!

Golden Gate Park: The Golden Mile!

San Francisco, CA 94117

We go to Golden Gate Park almost every day! GGP is HUGE but if we had to pick one walk we'd recommend it is the "golden mile!" This takes you down JFK Boulevard past gorgeous fields & trails, the stunning Conservatory of Flowers, and past two great museums: The California Academy of Sciences & the (iconic) deYoung. This SF staple is a beautiful, unique public space that you gotta see to believe! To find the start of it on Google Maps, or something similar, look for "Uncle John's Christmas Tree," Golden Gate Park, in-front of McLaren Lodge, San Francisco, CA 94117.
