Any new updates and changes will be posted to our website as the day gets closer and more things are planned and locked into place!
I had scheduled pictures to be taken for our 5 year anniversary because we haven’t had them done in awhile. When the day came I was going to make him drive to Omaha so I sent him a screenshot of the email from my photographer that showed the address and phone number on it. Kaje texted him and told him he was planning on proposing to me, and so the two of them decided to come up with a line to say when our photographer thought he would have a good view. On the way to Omaha I was watching the chiefs game, and they ended up going into over time. Once we got to the park and the photographer showed up there was maybe 2 mins left of the game, and I really wanted to finish it because it was a super close game. I made the photographer wait until the game was over (we were there a little early anyways) luckily the chiefs won the game and I was super happy about that. The photographer lined us up, then he stopped and said "I heard this fact the other day that bees like to pollinate on yellow flowers". I’m thinking like okay cool, not thinking anything about it and then I looked back over at Kaje. He was down on his knee and that’s when he asked the magical question of will you marry me. Of course I said yes then I looked at the photographer and asked him if he knew about this. He said yes then explained the whole situation to me. It was literally perfect💕
My sister was moving to Arizona, and she had asked me to drive with her. I agreed, and I am so glad I did because on the way I had posted on my Instagram story (what used to be popular to do Q&A and tbh "To Be Honest"). So I posted a picture of the road and said long road trip slide up for a tbh, and that is when Kaje decided to slide up on it and ask for a tbh. I then responded and said "TBH you have a nice truck and seem pretty cool you should hmu sometime". From that second, he and I instantly clicked once we started texting. Although he had to work that next day, he stayed up talking to me on the phone for hours just getting to know each other. From then to now we have never gone a day without speaking to each other, whether it be on the phone, FaceTime, in person, or just a text message. Once I got back to Nebraska, I was finally able to meet Kaje in person for the first time. We were both super excited but a little nervous. We still had the connection that we had just when it was over the phone, and that was the best feeling. We both had people trying to tear us apart, saying that we wouldn't last together and it was just going to be a heartbreak, but here we are getting ready to say I DO and starting a new chapter in our book!
