After meeting on the dating apps, we will be the first to admit, we're both shocked we ever met in person. While we matched in Sept '24, between the intense UK/UL rivalry, an alleged dog allergy, and several suspicious rain checks later, we finally had our first date in October '24. That first date set the tone for the majority of our follow on dates, very okay food, but great vibes. Our belief that we're both the funniest people in the room has led to a lot of laughter, bantering, and great conversations. From there, we started our year-long marathon of "that would be fun" dates. While sitting at a UL basketball game at the end of November, we were talking about the timeline for meeting each other's families, and in an effort to play it cool, Jordan threw out the phrase "well, if we're still doing this". Unfortunately for him, every concert, sporting event, and date night planned started out with "yeah that would be fun, well, if we're still doing this". Fast forward through many Thompson/Hume Family events, a freak accident resulting in two broken arms, exploring our way through the restaurants of Louisville, many nights in with Louie, and one proposal later, we're happy to say we are still doing this.
