How our Love story unfolded

February 14 2021

John and I first met at the Gray Big Apple. My first impression of him was he must think he is Mr. Cool as he was parked halfway up a snowbank with his Jeep Liberty. Fast forward to our first date where we felt like kids, we were being clever holding hands and trying not to get caught by Isabella, who was very fascinated with making sure she was only stepping on the white tiles at the Maine Mall. At the end of the date, I felt like he was going to be a great role model for my daughter to look up to. A few of the first memories I had where I thought to myself, "I could picture marrying John," was when we went on our family adventures, he always puts our needs and wants before his own. Whether it was missing most of the demo derby because the girl’s wanted food or drinks. One of them got sick and he walked with them to the bathroom so I could see my first derby. Always setting a great example in front of our girls, showing them how they should be treated and taken care of or always showing up at important events. Truly a prime example of a genuine family man. Of course, John points to a few different memories. I recall a time when we went on a random adventure where we somehow ended up in the White Mountain National Forest. While we were there, we got to enjoy some hiking and sightseeing. We got to see a beautiful wooden bridge that was made in 1872. I learned a lot about her as we walked and explored together. Another memory is when Sara took me to see a lighthouse. It was the first time I had ever seen one in person. On our anniversary Sara surprised me with a trip on the Amtrack train as she knew I had wanted to go on one. Over the last couple of years with Sara we have had a lot of amazing experiences and adventures. As we grew closer together, I learned that I love having all these adventures doing things together as a couple. I would never want to share these adventures with anyone else. The proposal happened December 4th, 2023, at Quincy market In Boston. He found the most heartwarming spot. We were wrapping up our shopping in the market when we ran into one of my coworkers. We decided to do our yearly Christmas picture, as we were finishing up with photos John grabbed my hand after our picture were taken as a family, he got down on one knee to ask me to marry him. I knew my answer right away, there was no doubt in my mind after everything we had gone through. Our lives changed after going through the unimaginable. I could not think of any other person I would want to stand by my side through the good and the bad times. Our bond is so strong, that together I know we can conquer anything. We're both so grateful to you, our family and friends, for your love and support. We can't wait to celebrate the wedding with you soon!
