We met at Wake Forest University in our freshman year dorm, Collins Hall. We became fast friends first semester often together around campus or visiting each other’s dorm floors. Finally after Christmas break, we went on our first official date to Elizabeth's, a local restaurant popular with Wake students. The night started with some laughs after Sara parked the car too close and had to climb across the car seat to get out. Our adventure began from there and we haven’t looked back!

Eight years later, on the anniversary of our first date, Joe (with Finn in tow) asked Sara to take a walk under the Brooklyn Bridge on the coldest and windiest winter day. Sara was skeptical but luckily the frozen journey was worth it with some laughs and a ring at the end! The surprises didn’t end there, our hearts were warmed with family and friends coming together that night for a big celebration. As some of you may know, Sara hates surprises, but these were worth it!
