In January 2023, Jeremy and Sara’s paths first crossed under the lively neon lights of Mavericks Dance Hall in Buda, Texas. Both had come to see the Cameron Sackey Band, and the atmosphere was buzzing. Jeremy, standing near the front with his friends, was clearly in his element, singing along and dancing. Sara, from the back of the crowd, noticed him almost immediately. Still, she decided to simply enjoy the music from afar, letting the night play out as it would. But fate had a different plan. The very next evening, Sara and her friend found themselves at Axis, a popular bar in San Marcos. Sara was playing pool when, to her surprise, she spotted Jeremy walking through the door. He had come with a friend for a casual game, only to notice that the pool table was already occupied—by none other than Sara and her friend. Leaning over to his buddy, Jeremy made a comment regarding the “cute girl” in the middle of her game, but their paths didn't officially cross just yet. Several games later, as Jeremy and Sara both lingered by the pool tables, Sara saw her chance. She strolled over and asked how his game was going - only to learn with a grin - that he’d actually lost a couple rounds. To break the ice even further, Sara’s friend chimed in boldly, saying, “My friend thinks you’re really cute!” The timing was perfect; the conversation flowed easily, laughter and smiles exchanged. Before they knew it, they were exchanging phone numbers, and just a few days later, they met up for a coffee date. That first date was the beginning of a beautiful and loving relationship. Over the past year and a half, Sara and Jeremy have shared endless laughter, created countless memories, and deepened their love and devotion to each other and to their faith. On July 27, 2024, in the quiet beauty of Praha, Texas, outside St. Mary’s Church, Jeremy proposed, and Sara joyfully said yes! Now, they look forward to beginning their forever together.
