We went to Fort Bragg, a small town on the coast of California, to celebrate Jeff's birthday with our two dogs, Cooper and Charlie. We were exploring the coast that afternoon, and as we were driving by a secluded beach I said "that looks just like Hawaii!" Jeff said this is when he knew he would propose that night, on that secluded beach, as the sun set. Later that night, we ate dinner, and headed to Jughandle State Park to watch the sunset. Jeff, the dogs, and I had the entire beach to ourselves. As we approached the water, I thought to myself "this would be the perfect place to propose". Jeff started drawing a heart in the sand with our names inside of it andI thought he was just being cute. As the sun began to set, Jeff said that we should go for a walk. He led me over to the heart in the sand, and said "This has been the perfect birthday, but there is only one thing missing...." then he got on one knee and popped the question! All I remember after that is crying and laughing and staring at the most beautiful ring I've ever seen!
