Sara and Jack met on Tinder. Jack came in with his charming lines and Sara couldn't help but say yes to a happy hour date. After that, Sara was incredibly smitten over Jack. So much so, that after that first date, Sara told Jack that she would LOVE to see him again, "if he'd allowed it." Of course, Jack obliged after texting his groomsman, Scott, that he just met the girl he was going to marry. After that, the rest is history. Sara fell madly in love with Jack, and Jack fell madly in love with Sara. They adventured the western US together. From the river bottoms to the mountain tops and now have started a new adventure in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Let me set the scene for you, dear readers of our wedding website. It was the week before Christmas, in the magical mountain town of Telluride, Colorado. It was beautiful. Fresh snow and a quaint little mountain chalet that we would call home for the next few days. Little did Sara know, I had a BIG surprise planned. I was gonna ask her to MARRY ME. I still get excited thinking about it! My plan was to lure her up into the mountains and find a picturesque view to get down on one knee in front of and ask her to take on life with me. That's just what I did, only there were a few hiccups along the way... as is the manner in which most of our adventures unfold. As mentioned, it was snowy. Not just a little snowy, but four feet of snow, snowy. So in order to be able to hike to a pretty spot we had to pick up some snow shoes. Only issue was this was our first time on snow shoes so we were a little clumsy to say the least. Not to be deterred, we started up a trail close to town that we heard had some gorgeous views. After trudging through about a half mile of snow, we came upon a gorgeous peak and I knew this was it. It was time. I told Sara that I was gonna set up the camera on our tripod to get a picture of us. However, I set the camera to record video instead of photo and made my way down about 10 yards to her. Everything was going to plan. There was only one problem. I had never imagined it could be difficult to get on one knee in snowshoes. Sure enough, it is very difficult! As your imagining at this point, I looked right into Sara's eyes, began to get down on one knee and my snowshoe got stuck in the snow. After another 1 or 2 unsuccessful attempts, I finally made it to one knee and asked her to marry me. Luckily, she said yes and here we are!
