Sara was a medical student in New York City, and Houman was starting his medical residency when he first asked her out on a date. But just as their story began, the COVID-19 pandemic shut down New York City, putting their plans on hold. Both were working long, exhausting hours caring for sick patients in different hospitals. Despite this, Houman was determined to win her over. He called Sara almost every day for four months, getting to know her through long conversations over the phone. As COVID-19 precautions began to ease, Sara finally agreed to meet for a "to-go" cocktail from a restaurant and a walk around Central Park (indoor dining was still prohibited)! They spent hours walking and talking, enjoying each other’s company- and it was at this point they both knew their connection was undeniable. Now, they can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by the people who mean the most to them!
