Despite being in several classes together, we first met at Gallettes through mutual electrical engineering classmates and friends. We bonded over a particularly dreadful lecture the next morning and hit it off from there! The early stages of our relationship survived many Alabama football themed hardships including misfortunes at the SEC championship in Atlanta and driving across the country to see the national championship in Phoenix.

After work Devin told me he was going to get some groceries, but he actually went to Great American Cookie. He thought I would be suspicious that his normally speedy grocery trip took forever, but I had one thing on my mind: dinner. He even snuck the cookie cake right by me! We enjoyed a lovely dinner at a new Mexican restaurant in downtown Huntsville. When we got back I was ready to get in my pajamas (we had both been battling colds). Devin had to act fast and proposed while I was on the couch snuggling with our puppies.
