This is a favorite spot for us. If you're in Carlsbad and want the best jalapeno and cucumber margarita, it's here. Hands down. Their food is great as well.

Palomar Observatory

Miramonte Winery

If you're looking to do a little wine tasting in Temecula, Miramonte is great. We used to belong to their wine club before we moved. Not only are their wines consistently good, but their bistro has an outstanding menu.

Europa Village Wineries & Resort

Europa Village is another great place to do some wine tasting in Temecula. Their restaurant Bolero is wonderful as well, with Spanish-inspired tapas and entrees, and live music in the evening. They also do a brunch on the weekends that is lovely.

Wilderness Gardens Preserve

If you're looking to do some small hikes, birdwatch, or just see some of the local habitat, there are a couple of easy trails here just east of Pala Casino Spa Resort.
