How we met

We met through mutual friends close to ten years ago, we didn't think much of it. Actually, we didn't really talk at all unless we were around each other with the friends that we shared. Its safe to say that we are both shy and quiet around new people unless the other one initiates the conversation (we know some of you might say otherwise). Fast forward to late 2018, after all these years of not talking and really getting to know each other we got reconnected through the some of the same mutual friends we met through years ago and there was a connection at first site! Although we were still shy towards each other in the beginning we quickly became inseparable! We officially started dating May 11th 2019 and now we are beginning to build the rest of our lives together!

Engagement Story

Time to grab the tissues

Connor came up with the idea of planning a trip to see his family in Texas last summer so that's what we did! We traveled down to Texas mid August 2020 and had a lot of fun things planned. This is not anything out of the ordinary for us to do, but little did I know Connor and his family had a big surprise hidden from me! On August 15th we went to the Fort Worth Stock Yards to watch the longhorn cattle drive and check out all the small shops and fun things the Stock Yard has! I was already excited because this is a place I've always wanted to go to! When the time came for the cattle drive and the beautiful longhorn cattle were passing by us, Connor tapped me on my shoulder from behind. This handsome man was down on one knee and asked me to be his wife and to spend the rest of our lives together! Of course I said yes, I actually said yes three times! I have never been so happy in my entire life and was overjoyed with excitement! At this point I was overwhelmed with so many emotions of happiness and disbelief I didn't even know how to correctly respond to anything that was going on. Then to top it off I was then told that the ring he gave to me was his Grandmother Vivian's ring, I am a very sentimental person so of course the emotions got even higher! I am so glad Connor made it a point to make sure McKinleigh was there with us when he popped the question. We sure are blessed to all have each other for a life time and even more blessed to be surrounded by amazing supportive and loving family by our sides!
