THE WEDDING PARTY

Vanessa VanSlambrook

Maid of Honor

I have the pleasure of being Sara’s maid of honor! I first met Coleman through a Western Carolina social work/political science trip to Washington DC and later on met Sara on a spring break trip to St. Augustine. Sara and Coleman are some of my closest friends I was able to make during my time at WCU. I’m so excited to be apart of their celebration and I can’t wait to be apart of their beautiful life together as a married couple!

Troy Leopard

Best Man

Chloe Leopard

Best Woman

I remember the first time Coleman brought Sara home, being the only girl out of three boys I was so excited to have another girl around! We shortly became close and I’ve loved Sara since. When I think of happiness, I think of their relationship, and I couldn’t be more excited to see what the future holds for them. I love you both.

Cassy Taylor

Bridesmaid

I absolutely adore Sara and Coleman. Sara is the best cousin I could ask for and is always there for me when I need her. From the time I first met Coleman, he already felt like part of the family. He is kind and really fun to be around. I aspire to have a bond with someone as strong as the bond between these two. I really believe that they are soulmates and I wish them the best!

James Patton

Groomsman

I met Coleman through Pride of the Mountains and later on in the fraternity, delta sigma phi. We got into a lot of shenanigans during our time in school, but I wouldn't trade any of those moments away. Having to deal with everything college life could throw at us, we grew close as brothers and I was able to meet the love of his life, Sara. We have something very happy to celebrate and that is the marriage of these two! Coleman and Sara are wonderful friends and I am excited to be a part of their big day!

Sarah Caldwell

Bridesmaid

I first met Sara in a Teen Living class that we shared during our Sophomore year of high school. From there, Sara and I became close friends and even ended up being roommates during our Freshman and Sophomore years at WCU. Through her I met Coleman and have became good friends with him as well. I’ve had the honor of being able to watch my friends grow up together and become the admirable couple that they are today!

Will McDaris

Groomsman

I fist met Coleman when I was in the process of joining Delta Sig. From there we were brothers. We always joked around and had fun whenever we could. He has become one of my closest friends, during my time at WCU. It has been a privilege to witness how much Coleman and Sara love each other and how their relationship has grown to today.

Audra Bovender

Bridesmaid

I first met Coleman when I joined my sorority and he truly made my time at Western. He always talked to highly and sweetly of Sara but for some reason decided that we shouldn’t hang out, probably because we would gang up on him. Coleman eventually caved and Sara has been the sweetest friend. I’m so lucky to call both of them some of my closest friends and their sweet, timeless love for each other is something you hope for in all of your friend’s relationships. I can’t wait to be a part of their day!!

Jarod Kirby

Groomsman

I first met Coleman (Papa Bean) sitting in the University Center’s Chick-fil-A with an outlet close friend Tyler Henry during a Spring Fraternity recruitment week. We instantly hit it off and have been thick as thieves since through our shared bonds of Delta Sigma Phi and our fathers. Through Coleman, I was able to meet Sara after I accidentally left my scarf in the backseat of his car, and I had to save him from her “wrath.” I have loved watching their relationship grow and it is a privilege and honor to share their special day with them, their family, and their close friends.

Linzi Johnson

Bridesmaid

I met Sara during our Junior year of college. We had similar Elementary Education classes and just so happened to sit next to one another on the first day of our Fall semester. We partnered up in class often, but it wasn’t until the Spring that we became closer friends. We quickly bonded over our love for cats and One Direction. I met Coleman not long afterwards and immediately knew that I had been blessed with their lifelong friendship.

Matt Lutz

Groomsman

I was fortunate to meet Coleman during my first year of marching band where he was my “buddy.” From there, I gained a big brother in Delta Sigma Phi, a friend, and even more important, a family member. Through Coleman, I was able to meet Sara, and since my freshman year at WCU they both have played an integral part in my life!

Hannah Hall

Bridesmaid

I met Sara while finishing up our education degree at WCU! We became close pretty quick because Sara is secretly hilarious and I could tell we share a kindred heart! We enjoyed a good time, for sure, but also enjoy some old soul moments! It wasn’t long before Sara suggested my husband meet Coleman! Well that turned out to be a hoot and Hollar of a time! Coleman is beyond funny, so open to the life around him, and honest about what matters! We adore this couple and believe in their love! Cheers to the future Mr. and Mrs.
