Doors will open at 4:00 pm. Please plan to be seated by 4:25 so we can begin seating Mothers and Grandmothers.

Where to park for the ceremony?

Answer

There is parking on all sides of the church building. Please enter through the front doors on B ave.

Question

How does Holy Communion work at Mt. Tabor?

Answer

The Bride and Groom would love to share the sacrament of Holy Communion with those present at the ceremony, but it is not required. All are welcome at the table at Mt. Tabor. Ushers will release you by aisle, and you will come forward to receive communion. The Pastor may share other information just before the start of communion

What will happen between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

For guests not needing to be present for pictures, you are welcome to head downtown and find parking near the art museum. The reception will start outdoors at 6:00 pm. with passed hors d'oeuvres and drinks while set up inside the art museum is finished. The indoor area will open at or around 7:00 pm.

Where to park for the reception?

Answer

There will be valet parking at the Museum of Art. Additionally, there are parking garages and street spots near the art museum downtown. Some garages may charge a fee. Street parking is free during the hours of the reception. If you plan to go out after the reception, we recommend using a ride-share service.

How will dinner be served at the reception?

Answer

Dinner will be served at various stations. There is no assigned seating except for the wedding party and immediate family. There will be tables for those who wish to sit or need a spot to eat. Our goal is to have as much dancing as possible! If you need a quick break, grab a bite to eat, sit for a minute, and then join us back on the dance floor.

Will there be a hotel block?

Answer

No, we recommend finding an Airbnb or staying in one of the many hotels in downtown Columbia if needed. There is a Marriott, Sheraton, and Holiday Inn within walking distance of the reception.
