Where else were two busy grad students going to meet? In school. Bryan was one of the anatomy tutors for Sara's class. Sparks flew at the Halloween party a few weeks after the first (group!) tutoring session. Study sessions, turned into drink dates, which turned into a weekend in DC to see a concert together. They were dating by Christmas and the rest, as they say, is history.

While almost four years together is a significant amount of time for a relationship, when those four years are spent either in grad school or in a pandemic, it doesn't lead itself to many vacations. In August of 2022, Bryan and Sara finally got the chance to take their first real vacation together, and boy did he make it one to remember. They went on a Disney Cruise, and on night two of the trip, they had dinner reservations at Remy, a Ratatouille inspired fine dining experience. Halfway through an 8 course dinner, Sara slipped off the bathroom (you sip a lot of cocktails during an 8 course dinner). That's when Bryan quickly schemed with the fabulous dinner service staff. When it was time for a dessert, a stunning chocolate cake arrived (that was not ordered) reading the words "Congratulations". At the same moment, our server offered to take our "picture". In reality, he was taking a video of the most important question that could be asked, and now we have a wedding to plan.
